This datapack is for simplifying crafting recipes that require unstackable items, or which are otherwise very logical.

Minecarts are not stackable, and it feels right.

This also works with Hoppers, Furnaces (Furni?), and TNT

This one is so logical its almost annoying that its not in the game…

Quartz is one of the only ore blocks that cant be compressed and uncompressed, this is inconsistent and also poses as a bit of a problem when everyone just converts all the quartz to blocks immediately. leaving none for other purposes.

Back in the day, oak slabs were just a different variation of stone slabs. Their effective tool were the pickaxe, their particles were stone, and most importantly they didn't catch fire.

In an effort to not have old builds instantly burn down in the new patch mojang kept old slabs the way they were. And this distinction has carried its way all the way to minecraft 1.13, and with “the flattening”, they even got their own unique name. They are able to be placed upside down and act like any other modern slab.

In vanilla minecraft there is still no way to obtain them without cheats, or having them crafted from back in the days.
